Question: Do you know how to make windows button on task bar flash?

Answer: It works only for Windows ME/2000/XP.
Use Dialog window! Whenever you create a new Dialog OS (Windows) the task bar will flash the corresponding button. It is a property of current OS, not Java... That's why it will not work on Unix systems that have now task bars as well, for example with Gnome GUI.
